Paul Mack P.E., FPCI
Summary
Prior to founding Parking Consultants LLC, Mr. Mack was Regional Manager for the 11 state Western region of a large national parking consulting firm. Paul has a well-rounded background in all aspects of parking consulting. While his main strengths are structural engineering and restoration, he is also experienced in garage functional design, access and revenue control, durability, security, and cost control. His broad range of experience includes consulting for municipalities, universities, shopping centers, civic/public buildings, recreational facilities, justice centers, office parks, and conference centers.
Paul also has 25 years of hands-on experience in the precast/prestressed concrete industry where he held management positions in engineering and design, sales and marketing, and product manufacturing at Denver’s largest precast concrete fabricating plant. He is a Fellow in the Precast/Prestressed Concrete Institute (PCI) and served on the Board of Directors of that national organization.
Mr. Mack is the specialty Engineer-of-Record for more than 810 precast concrete projects, including parking structures, residential facilities, hospitals, office buildings, schools, and other commercial structures. He has participated in the design of more than 70 multi-story parking structures, and has completed condition surveys, inspections, and renovations on more than 90 multi-story parking garages.
Mr. Mack has developed engineering and parking design aids and standards, and has lectured at universities, technical society seminars, and building officials’ conferences for over two decades. He has published numerous articles in industry journals and trade publications. He recently was on a select team of engineers and consultants who rewrote the PCI Design Handbook, 6th Edition, and Parking Structure Manual for Design and Maintenance.
