Parking Consultants LLC was founded in 2006 by Paul D. Mack, P.E. and Melissa Baughman, LEED AP, both life-long residents of the Denver regional area. Paul has been in the local parking consulting industry since 1994 while Melissa has been serving the community since 1996 in construction business and project management in addition to her expertise in parking functional design and controls equipment. Shawn Andersen joined our firm in 2009 as a Senior Project Manager bringing with him over 24 years of parking consulting and construction management experience.  Parking Consultants is engaged solely in the business of providing consulting services related to the design, construction and operation of parking facilities. 

Based in Denver, Colorado, Parking Consultants provides consulting services throughout the Rocky Mountain region of the United States. The firm primarily focuses on the functional and operational aspects of parking design and management; aiding architects, engineers, building owners, developers, municipalities, institutions, and parking management companies with expert advice.

 

During the past 35 years Mr. Mack has designed and consulted on hundreds of parking projects in the regional area. As seen on his impressive resume, he has 24-years experience in structural engineering in the precast/prestressed concrete industry where he was the Specialty Engineer-of-Record for more than 810 projects, some 240 of which were parking structures.  In addition, he has 12-years experience in parking consulting with a nationally recognized firm, where he served an 11-state area as the firm’s Regional Manager.  Because of this, he has extensive experience with all aspects of the local and regional parking industry, both from a design and construction standpoint, including knowledge of local building and zoning codes, construction techniques, construction costs, operational costs, and management strategies. 

In addition to “Full Service” consulting, Parking Consultants has developed a unique niche in providing affordable “over-the-shoulder” services to a wide client base of architects, developers, and contractors.  With this business model, a client can contract for only the specialized services needed on an hourly or lump-sum basis.  Should a client desire the full gamut of parking consulting services, a complete Scope-of-Services is available.  Consulting is provided for all design phases of a project, including Concept/Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documents, Bidding, and Construction Administration.  Clients are provided the highest level of parking consulting services, based on the latest developments and cutting-edge technology, in the parking industry.
